Week 1

Today in class we covered what the class would be about and what we would be doing for the next 10 weeks of class. Sounds like it will be a fun class. Hopefully I can make something pretty impressive. In class we came up with a character that was a moose that wanted to save his job at Kinko's but needed paper to make prints. The problem was that in order to make prints he had to cut down the trees which would destroy his home. So the class had to break into groups and come up with a script that would solve the issue the moose had. I was a fun exercise to do. I liked the acting part of it the most.

Week 2

Today in class we talked about what needed to be done with in a few weeks. Right now my group and I are still trying to get a story idea. I don't know why it is so hard to get a story going. We did some brain storming and think we want to do like a kids tale. We want to have a story that you can learn something from. Probably be simple characters. Hopefully we can nail down what story we will do today, so we can move on since it is the 3rd week now.

Week 3

Last week we work on trying to come up with an idea, even went to each others house to brainstorm. We came up with an idea about a girl who loses her heart and a guy goes to find it for her but in the end she finds it where she left it. Hopefully we can find a way to animate this idea that ashley has. I think it is a good idea. We're thinking of doing a silent movie with soft music background. I feel like we have a lot of stuff to do, and time is ticking. This movie will take a lot of work, and I will need as much time as possible to get this movie done. Hopefully week 4 we can get a roll on making a story board or make some short of simple animation.

Week 4

On week 4 week we work on getting the idea down a little bit better, but still needs some work. We plan on trying to finalize the whole story on week 5. We have to get the script done for next week, but with little time to communicate with each other, it will put us behind, but hopefully we can come through, I really want to have an awesome piece for the end of this quarter but with the time I have left I may have to dumb it down, but we will see.

Week 5

We have assembled the powerpoint presentation and are ready to move ahead, the next 6 weeks will be about animating the movie. There is a lot of work ahead of me, but at least we have a story now, and have a story board, so it should go by fast once I get the ball moving. I know I have a lot going on in my life, but I'm sure everyone else is the same, so I will have to keep pushing to be all I can be

Week 6

So this week I am missing a partner and dont have anything to really work with to start the animatic, but I have emailed her to see if she can send them to me. Not really sure what to do, since I dont have a reference folder, or any of the scripts. Almost most thinking about making another project to the side just incase all else fails. But I will try to keep my head up and hope for the best.

Week 7

This week, we got our animatic done for class, and it helps out a lot for understanding the story. I feel like we are back on track and have hope for this project. We revised our script, so it is shorter which helps out with the animating. This should be pretty easy to do and hopefully get this done soon.

Week 8

So I ended up going to class for a little while that day then ended up being gone from class a lot longer than I really wanted. I had plans to really work on the animation, but things didn't go that way. I ended up taking a leap of chance, by taking advantage of a job, doing a graphic design position, but I was taking a risk that might effect to future of this project and other final projects in different classes.

Week 9

Labor Day - no school. I had plans for working on this project today, but with moving in a new apartment on the 13th of September, I needed to work to get money for the new apartment, so I worked all day, came home and went to bed, exhausted, and never got anything done for the project. Other classes are starting to throw there big projects, and now feeling really stressed, and very tired, and not motivated at all. Nothing has been accomplished.

Week 10

So week 10 has finally came around, the project has lost valuable animating time, and I am looking like some careless person about this project. Thank goodness ashley has pulled forward with this project, other wise I don't think anything would be as far as it is as of now. If the teacher had to put a name on this project, it would be for ashley. As for me, I want to try, but I am not motivated, and feeling fatigue with all this work from this and other classes, mixed with actual work at the factory and library. Packing for the apartment all week has been exhausting, and I end up moving on monday the 13th which this class will be happening. I don't think I will be to awake when I get to class, I will probably end up staying for an hour then I need to go get moved in so I can return the vehicle I borrowed in time. I ended up getting the full time graphic design position job, which will start Monday 20th from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm so I will end up missing class on that day as well in Intermediate 2d animation, hopefully ashley can pull through, wish I could, I'm sure other people have but I'm not able to. hopefully I can get with ashley before finals week and tweek what ever she has and try to help her in some shape or form, cause she'll need all she can get, cause she'll be the only one presenting next monday. If I fail this class I can understand, I will take the fall on the project, but I knew this would happen if I took that chance.

Life update 4-14-09

So life has been pretty great so far. School is going well, my gf is great, and life is good. On my spring break I went up to Fort Wayne with my gf mom and her to get my teeth checked by her mom. We got there on Sunday, March 29th. We spend the night at her moms apartment, which was small but it didn't bother me, I was just happpy I was with my gf. We woke up in the morning and went to get the teeth check, everything went pretty well. After her and I got our teeth checked we went to get something to eat and left the college and went to an army surplus that I happen to find on google maps when I was at the apartment. I guess there was an airsoft store too that we were close by but I didn't realize that until I got back home 2 hours away from Fort Wayne. After we looked around we headed home and I hung out with her till she went to work. She is so cute, and I love her a whole bunch, even though she shot me in the head with a bb gun lol. The whole week I was building up for the airsoft party that was going to happen on Friday. I ended up getting Saturday and Sunday off of work so I was excited cause I get to camp out at the airsoft party. Friday finally came around and our stuff for airsoft came in. We got out to the woods, and set up the tents and cooked the food, which looked nasty but seem to be pretty good. We airsoft for a little while then night time came around, and played a night game were Justin disappear with charles in the woods, we never really found them, kind of killed the night game. It got pretty cold that night wish I could of brought some more clothes. When morning came around we packed up and played a couple more rounds of airsoft. It was pretty fun. Finally school is starting back up. I left sunday night cause my gf was working sunday night :( I went to work at 7:30, and worked till 12:30 my classes went well, I think I am going to like the marketing class. My days at school went pretty fast, then I finally came home, I was so excited cause I knew I would be seeing my gf soon. I didn't do much Wed night, except miss my gf, when thursday came around I went shopping for prom, sure can't wait, little nervous, just hope everything goes well, I'm sure it will. I ended up getting some new shoes, and new dress shoes. I got to see alexa that night, I sure did miss her a whole bunch! :) The next day I went to Alexas school and got a manicure which was pretty neat, I really liked the whole wax your hand thing. Alexa and I went back to my house to show her my outfit for prom, I still really need to get a jacket though. But I ended up getting in trouble with my gf cause of the fact,.. I FORGOT HER BIRTHDAY!!! how do you forget that, I mean, I've been with her for a year and 5 months, I felt so dumb, and to make it worse my mom finds out and makes it worse. So i was tortured that night by my gf and mom. But now I know, it June 21st. I have posted notes everywhere in my room to remind me. I really wish my memory was better. I still have the sticky notes up by the way too. Saturday came around and Alexa and I went out to eat at BWs which seemed not to be as good as it usually is. I ended up getting back at her house and my stomach started to hurt. My gf is so sweet, I love the way she cares for me, helped unpop my head, and relieve me from the pain from work. Sure can't wait to marry her. I slept pretty well that night. Sunday I had to work, I really wanted to have it off so I could go with my girlfriend and her family to church. I think it is amazing that her family went to church and all with my dad. I ended up taking a half and went with my family to see the grandparents. There house smelled like smoke along with the food, but mom brought some smoke free food whic was pretty good! I wanted to get home as soon as possible so I could see my gf but I didn't get to till 7 I think. It was sure nice to see her before I headed back to college. We ended up having a great night! :) Wish I could sleep with her for the whole night. One day. So I've been thinking about changing colleges for some time, cause I feel like I am spending A LOT of money on school when I could save a bunch of money by going to Ivy Tech in Lafayette. I could save myself about $40,000, that is a lot off money, even if I have to retake classes over its still cheaper to go with Ivy Tech, it may not be a big name school, but it would be an education, and I could make an amazing porfolio, that would blow away others art work. I could save a lot of money on transportation and living expensises as well. My friend says he really like the graphic design course at the Ivy Tech. But in the end I decided I would think about it for this quarter and finish out this quarter. But if it fails and I don't care for Ivy tech I will just get an Associates degree in Graphic Design. And once economy goes up then I will go and maybe finish with a bachelors or something. I figure if I graduate in March I could get a job and a house and hopefully, maybe start living with my wonderful gf. I would be willing to pay for the apartment rent so she could live with me. Then once she got out of Ivy Tech we could moveto were ever she had to go. I just want to be with her, thats all, and I don't want to be rich, I just want to be comfortable. I want to reach out to other people, and I want to make a difference in the world, I just want to enjoy my life with my wife that will hopefully be my amazing gf, and have a wonderful family. I want to stay close to God, cause you never know when the Rapture will happen, and bringing more people closer to God is a life goal. Its not about money, its what you do with your life to make a difference.
